Managing Your Mobile BankID

Mobile BankID is your personal electronic identity document used to securely identify yourself and sign documents online. At Quartal, you can have up to three active BankIDs on different devices.

How to Obtain a New BankID

If You Have an Old Device

If you still have your old mobile or tablet with a valid BankID:

  1. Log in to the Quartal app on your old device.
  2. Navigate to Profile > Manage BankID.
  3. Follow the instructions to issue a new BankID to your new device.

If You Do Not Have an Old Device

If you lack a valid BankID on an old device, you can issue a new one using a valid Swedish passport or national ID card. This process requires a smartphone with an NFC reader to scan the ID document’s chip.

Security and ID Verification

To prevent identity theft, Quartal requires ID verification whenever a new BankID is issued or renewed.

  • Process: You will be prompted to scan your ID document using the BankID app.
  • Tips: Ensure your notifications are enabled. You will receive an alert whenever a new BankID is issued in your name. If you receive a notification for an action you did not perform, contact us immediately.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Android Problems

If the BankID app fails to open on an Android device, ensure your operating system and the Android System WebView app are updated to the latest versions via the Google Play Store.

Login and Signing Failures

If the login screen “spins” without completing:

  • Ensure your internet connection is stable.
  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
  • Verify that your BankID has not expired by checking the settings within the BankID app.

How to Block a BankID

You should immediately block your BankID if your device is lost or stolen, or if you suspect unauthorized access.

  • Through the App: If you have access to another device with your BankID, use the “View or block” function.
  • Via Phone: Call our 24/7 blocking service at 08-402 57 10.
