Frequently Asked Questions about Funds and Fund Savings

Can I consolidate all my funds in one place?

Yes. With the c/o Quartal service, you can gather all your funds, including those not managed by Quartal, in a single overview.

What is a cut-off time and how does it affect my order?

All funds have a cut-off time. Orders placed before this time are priced at the current day’s NAV price. Orders placed after the cut-off time are priced at the next banking day’s NAV price.

Standard cut-off times at Quartal:

Fund Cut-off Time Pricing Day
Most Quartal funds 15:30 Same banking day
China Fund, India Fund 15:00 Same banking day
Far East Fund, Global Emerging Markets, Japan Fund 15:30 Next banking day

When will I receive the money after selling a fund?

The timing depends on whether you are selling a Quartal fund or an external fund:

  • Quartal fund sold before 15:30: money credited after 2 banking days.
  • Quartal fund sold after 15:30: money credited after 3 banking days.
  • External funds: typically 3 to 6 banking days. Some funds may take longer depending on their settlement rules.

How do I deposit money into a fund account?

You cannot transfer money directly to a fund account. Instead, you place a buy order for a fund using money already held in your settlement account (such as a personal account, ISK, or capital insurance).

To move money into an ISK or capital insurance first, make a standard transfer to that account, then place a fund purchase order.
